Internet Safety - Grades K-12
"The technology that has so dramatically changed the world outside our schools is now changing the learning and teaching environment within them." - National Education Technology Plan for the U.S. Department of Education.
Sullivan School District is fortunate to be able to provide an extensive technology-enriched learning and teaching environment and is keeping pace with this dramatically changing world. This type of learning environment requires guidelines to be in place to keep students safe on the Internet. Sullivan School District adheres to these guidelines by providing content-filtering and has a policy for Internet Usage firmly in place. An extensive software package is also installed district wide to help enforce the policy. Sullivan School District strongly encourages parents to be involved in the Internet Usage of their children at home as well.

An Internet Safety Pledge, discussed with children frequently and posted by the computer, will help remind them the importance of being safe while using the Internet.
The following Pledge Posters have been provided by Netsmartz. Please download and post next to every computer a child may use and......don't forget to discuss the pledge often.
